I had the pleasure of teaming up with Capt Dan Clymer
today for a half-day afternoon trip out of Crystal River. We
picked our guests up at the Best Western on Kings Bay. Mark and
Craig joined me on my boat and we set out to see what the afternoon
had in store for us in spite of the strong winds. We started out using 3" Gulp on 1/8 oz
jig heads, and the "trout bite was on."
 We kept 11 trout and
released many that were just under the legal size limit. Captain
Dan had a great afternoon with 9 keeper trout and also a "Monster
Snook" that his crew boated and then released unharmed to fight again
another day. 
At the end of the day everyone was looking forward to dinner
at Oysters Restaurant in Crystal River, where the owner "William" would
cook their fresh catch of the day. Thanks to Mark and Craig for a
fun afternoon on the water, and I look forward to seeing you again for
some more great Crystal River fishing !
Services:
I offer private fishing charters
and scalloping trips ( when in season ) out of Crystal River
and Homosassa, and can take up to four anglers on by
boat, or up to six on scalloping trips.

Or- if you're not up to a full day of fishing, you may
want to spend part of your trip cruising around the waters
of Crystal River or Homosassa- taking in the sights that
Mother Nature has to offer, including the West Indian
Manatee and many species of shore birds and wildlife that is
often sighted along the rivers.
My Boat:
You will enjoy fishing from my custom
rigged 24' Carolina Skiff. It has an open hull design,
moveable fishing chairs, and comfortably fishes four anglers.
Additional boats guided by professional and experienced captains can
also be arranged if needed for larger family outings and corporate
groups.
My boat is powered by a 115 HP Yamaha outboard motor,
and is equipped with a bow mounted trolling motor and polling platform
for stealth approach.
The flat bottom and shallow draft provide
a stable fishing platform from which to fight the bull redfish and gator
trout that are often caught.... Another benefit of my boat's design is
that I am able to run the skinny water and get into the backcountry
where the fish try to hide !

Group fishing charters are available with licensed and
experienced guides. You may fish a full 8 hour day
dock to dock, or you may choose to fish just a half day.
You can also enjoy a shore lunch of your fresh catch of the
day prepared by your guide served with hushpuppies and all
the fixin's.
Trip Information
Family fishing excursions can be organized and children are
always welcome onboard with adult supervision. No
angler is too young or too old to enjoy the fantastic
fishing that is found in Crystal River and Homosassa !
